But the biggest difference between Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls: They represented different coasts. East Coast vs West Coast - the biggest rivalry in music history - ended up in the death of both artists just as their careers skyrocketed.

On September 7, 1996, Tupac was gunned down. Biggie was shot and killed six months later. Their murders remain unsolved today. One thing that there’s no question surrounding is that they both started off as friends.
